Mediatheque

The CFMI is a resource center for documentation on music and music education. A media library contains numerous books, scores, audiograms and videograms. The users of the media library are :

CFMI students;
The lecturers;
Other students of Aix-Marseille University.

The catalog of the media library is available to users. They can consult it freely, in the CFMI's slocaux (printed and electronic versions).
A process aims at integrating the media library's catalog within the :

Common Service of Documentation of the University of Aix-Marseille
Library of the Musicology department.

Students' work

In this space, in addition to documents and resources allowing the revision or the deepening of certain course modules, will be gathered the most significant works of research and pedagogical and musical applications:

analysis works
construction of musical sessions
scores and supports for instrumental improvisation
end-of-study theses...

Students are invited to enter different sound spaces where they are in turn listeners, dancers and musicians

Show A DUM DUM [Description]

The student designs and implements various learning situations enabling students to achieve a collective interpretation of a contemporary piece. He/she prepares the group for the public presentation of the work in partnership with a cultural structure.

The national council of the CFMI brings together the heads of the 9 training centers for musicians (CFMI) in France.

The presidency is assured by 4 Co-Presidents, ERRA Maïté (Aix-en-Provence), BEAUDOUIN Erwan (Rennes), POISSON Philippe (Lille), BABBI Emmanuel (Poitiers)

The national council of the CFMI has published a reference document for the profession of school musician.) This document is the result of a collaborative work between musicians, unions, employers, partners, trainers as well as state services, in order to achieve a description of the missions and skills of a musician today.
