The validation of acquired experience (VAE)

VAE allows you to have all or part of the courses of the diploma for which you are applying certified without having to follow them and pass the exams to acquire them. To do this, you must demonstrate, by writing and defending a file that you will present before a VAE jury, that your experience (at least 1 year), both professional and personal, has enabled you to acquire the knowledge and skills required at the end of the training.

Validation procedure

The procedure for validating the experience acquired in order to obtain the DUMI is accessible to any person who can justify aminimum of one year's practice as a musician in elementary and/or nursery schools, carried out during school time, in partnership with the teaching teams of the National Education (salaried, non-salaried or voluntary activities).

This experience must represent the equivalent ofone year of full-time work (20 hours per week in total, i.e. 720 hours in total). The activity may have been carried out on a full-time or part-time basis, continuously or discontinuously. Two reference documents relating to the profession will be used to attest to the skills acquired in line with those required to obtain the diploma.

References

You will use two job-related reference materials to attest to the skills acquired in line with those required to obtain the diploma.

Information can be obtained from the university continuing education services. Each university has a service in charge of welcoming and guiding students who are returning to school, as well as assisting them in filling out applications for validation of prior learning.
